Why we built BuddySOS
BuddySOS started from a frustrating observation. At every large festival, sporting event, or night out in the United States, someone in every group gets separated, loses signal, runs out of battery, or has a moment that needs help. The apps everyone already has on their phone fall short in those moments.
We built BuddySOS as a focused tool for that gap. A one-tap SOS that keeps broadcasting after the screen locks. A live group map for the people you want to keep tabs on. Privacy by default, so the location you share with your group is not also sold to advertisers.
The app is live on iOS and Android, available in 90+ countries, and used by groups across the US festival, event, and nightlife communities. It is also used by everyday family and friends who do not want a subscription to know their people are safe.

Chris founded BuddySOS after seeing the safety gap at large US festivals and events firsthand. He leads product and partnerships, and works directly with event organisers who deploy BuddySOS to their staff teams.
