How it works

From download to safe and connected, in under two minutes

BuddySOS is intentionally simple. Three steps from installing the app to having your whole group on a live shared map with a one-tap SOS button between every person.

01

How do I set up BuddySOS before a festival?

Download BuddySOS free from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app, tap 'Create group,' name it after your event ('Coachella Weekend 1,' 'EDC Vegas Crew,' whatever), and send the invite link to your friends. Setup takes under two minutes per person. Do it the night before the event so nobody is messing with onboarding while standing in a line outside the gates.

02

What happens when I arrive at the festival?

When you arrive at a venue BuddySOS knows about, you'll get an auto check-in prompt. Tap once to confirm and your group sees you on the live map. From here, every person in the group shows up as a named pin with their distance and direction relative to you. No 'where are you?' texts. No screenshots of the festival map with arrows on them.

03

What if something goes wrong during the event?

Use group chat to coordinate, drop pins for meeting spots, and send quick stickers ('headed back to camp,' 'at the main stage'). If anything actually goes wrong — separation, medical situation, anything where you need help — hit the SOS button. Every buddy in the group gets an instant push notification with your GPS pin and one-tap directions to walk straight to you. The whole loop takes under two seconds end-to-end.
